Lately I have strayed from the simplicity rule for Zen painting. I have fallen in love with using a dry brush, squishing it into a star shape and then making lovely hairy blotches all over everything. My black dog and her shadow cannot really be portrayed without Fill. An outline would not say 'Black Dog'.
